A collection of correspondence dealing with O'Connor's political and health organization activities. Many of the letters are to and from James Farley, Chairman of the U.S. Democratic Committee discussing political activities and appointments. Other correspondence deals with fund-raising and public relations activities of the various health organizations with which O'Connor was associated. Several letters are from historian Arthur M. Schlesinger. The collection is totally unorganized.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt was born on January 30, 1882, in Hyde Park, New York. He was the son of James (lawyer, financier) and Sara (Delano) Roosevelt. He married Anna Eleanor Roosevelt on March 17, 1905, and had six children: Anna, James, Franklin, Elliott, Franklin Jr., John. Farley was born in 1890 and died in 1972. He graduated from Dartmouth College and Harvard Law School and was admitted to the bar in 1916. In 1925 he formed a law partnership in New York, N.Y. with Franklin D. Roosevelt, which lasted until 1933.
